Craig Canton - Pastor
Craig began serving as Pastor of First Baptist Church in June
2005. He and his wife, Melinda, have two daughters,
Katelyn and Cameron. The Cantons are originally from the
Fort Worth, Texas area but call Oconee County "home" as
well. Craig has served as a Minister of Students in
Texas, a Minister of Education in South Carolina and has
pastored a church plant in Ohio. He earned a BA in
Telecommunications from Baylor University in 1994 and a Master
of Divinity with Biblical Languages degree from Southwestern
Baptist Theological Seminary in 2000. Currently, he is
working on a Doctor of Ministry degree from New Orleans
Baptist Theological Seminary.
Craig feels that "pastoring First Baptist Westminster is
an exciting and humbling privilege. Using the gifts and
opportunities God has given me to shepherd His people here is
a tremendous honor. It will be a great joy to see what
God does as He leads us into the 21st Century in worship,
fellowship, discipleship, ministry and carrying out our unique
mission as a loving body of believers in Christ. Blessed
be the Name of our Lord."

Eddie Allgood - Minister of Music
Eddie began serving as Minister of
Music of First Baptist Church in November 2005. He and his
wife, Debbie, have two daughters, Katie and Jenny. Jenny is married
to Phillip Crain, and they have two children, Will and Kaylin. The
Allgoods are from Pickens, SC. Eddie most recently served as
Minister of Music for Reedy Fork Baptist Church in Seneca, SC, and
has sung with several gospel groups, including "Joint Heirs." He
earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Church Music in May 2006.
Eddie believes that music is a ministry used by
God to touch the hearts of people and believes that ministering to
people is just as important as the music aspect of his job. Serving
Westminster First Baptist is a privilege and a blessing for him. He
believes that the music ministry can be an outreach tool for the
community as well. He is looking forward to building God's kingdom
through ministry and music. May the Lord bless you!

 Jeremy
Garrett - Minister of Youth & Children
Jeremy began serving as our Minister of Youth and Children
in October 2006. He and his wife, Kim, live in Walhalla, SC
and have three children, Emily, Jacob, and the newest addition to
the family, Anna.Jeremy believes that
"the Youth and Children are the future and pulse of the church
today. To minister to them is an honor and a privilege. Kim and I
are thrilled that God has called us to this position. This church
is special to us and it is humbling to now serve full-time.
Glory and praise are what we are here to direct to our awesome
Savior, Jesus! I am excited to see how God will bless our
church in the future."

 Jeanne
Burdette - Ministry Assistant
Jeanne began as our Ministry Assistant in February 2005.
Jeanne is married to Edward Burdette and they have two
sons, Brandon and John. Brandon is married to
Christina Deleon, and John is married to Misty Delfino. Jeanne
is the proud Grandmother
of three, Harley, Niki and
Kassidy. Jeanne enjoys cross
stitching, listening to gospel music and spending time
with her family. Jeanne comes to us after retiring from the
City of Seneca where she worked 29 years. Jeanne's goal in life is to "serve God with all my
heart and be a blessing to others through His love."
